I was born, raised and educated in the beautiful city of Calgary, where I attended the University of Calgary to obtain both my Bachelor of Commerce and my Juris Doctor. During my time at university, I founded the University of Calgary Pro Bono Students Canada Trans ID Clinic and was a founding member, and later president, of the Calgary section of OutLAW. I have continued my work with the Trans ID Clinic as a lawyer volunteer who mentors others and provides advice to community members looking to change their names and legal gender markers.
Called to the Alberta bar in 2020, I began my legal career at a large regional corporate law firm focusing on real estate, intellectual property, and general corporate law. My prior experience allows me to provide valuable insight in regards to separations and divorces involving business assets and the conveyance of real estate.
As a proud member of the LGBTQA+ community, I am uniquely positioned to understand the challenges faced by queer individuals. I focus my practice on LGBTQA+ legal issues, including cohabitation agreements, fertility and surrogacy law, and separation and divorce. Practicing with compassion and empathy, my goal is to resolve my client’s disputes as amicably and cost-effectively as possible. However, when mediation is not an option, I am committed to helping my clients navigate the courtroom and supporting them through their litigation journey.
In my spare time I enjoy playing with my two dogs, Cookie and Crumpet, visiting with my family, and baking.
