Biography

After completing my LL.B. at the University of New Brunswick, Faculty of Law, I was called to the New Brunswick bar on June 18, 1991.

I was immediately drawn to litigation, and my practice initially focused on Criminal, Estate, and Family matters with a significant Estate Planning component.

In 2001, I fulfilled a longstanding goal and completed a Master of Arts in Communications at the University of Western Ontario. My journey west continued immediately thereafter when I assumed the role of Manager of the Bank of Nova Scotia Trust Company’s Calgary Branch.

While I very much enjoyed my time working exclusively in the management of estates and trusts, the courtroom beckoned, so I applied for admission to the Alberta bar and was called here in 2008. I have practiced almost exclusively in the areas of Criminal and Family litigation over the last 14 years while maintaining my interest in Estate matters.

I have represented individuals accused of shoplifting, murder, and almost everything in between. I have been appointed counsel to represent children in Family Law proceedings, acted for parents in high-conflict Divorce matters and heirs in contested Estate proceedings. I look forward to assisting our clientele.
